Finally finished this one, it's been in the works since... 2011? Something about it didn't keep me interested in it until now, when I rediscovered it a few days ago and wanted to work on it again. And I guess I'm happy I had a little break with it, was enjoying painting it again with some new, fresh ideas for it.

Something a bit more realistic again for a change, I think this is the kind of work I will focus on now and the style I want to practise after drawing lots of 2D stuff, I enjoy drawing 2D-work as well but from now on those will mainly go to my tumblr, will still be posting some pieces here but for more check here: [link]
But will mainly post my realistic and/or more painterly work on DA.

Drawn entirely in Photoshop, with the first black/white and then colour-technique. Interesting way of colouring but I think it suits this one. And I do like drawing backlight :D

Wanted to do something very "wildlife" but still make it a bit mystical by trying to portray the feeling of encountering a wild animal in the nature. Hasn't happened to me, at least not many times, but I hope I succeeded in it.

Also available as a print :)

This is a magnificent drawing, the eyes feel like they're piercing through me, the stare--- brings shivers down my spine every second I stare back. The stance--- shows no fear- unable to predict the wolf's future movements. And the background, makes me feel like I'm in a fairytale-- Little Red Riding Hood perhaps?

Also, I wouldn't be so sure on this but I would believe this wolf would be part of the British Colombian Wolf breed-- but as I repeat from before, I'm not too sure. For there is many other black wolves out there that belong to different breeds and-- this wolf could belong to any of them.

But back to the picture, this is very beautiful and should be seen worldwide by those who loves art- and or loves wolves.

The lighting and shading are brilliant, and I love how the outline of the wolf in so bright, suggestion light coming from somewhere behind it, and the background looks awesome! :#1: The wolf's eyes are so beautiful, and they glow without being neon yellow. And the fur of the wolf is really realistic. Beautiful painting!
