Just found this drawing in my files, and I realised I never uploaded it! Did this last year for my dad as a birthday present
We both like birds, and had never seen any green woodpeckers in real life. When I moved to the UK in September 2012 I saw one of these the next week! I took some photos and told my dad about it, was pretty cool his birthday is in May and he said he'd like if I could paint him a green woodpecker! I think it's at his workplace at the moment.
I think I used watercolours and coloured pencils on this, on A4 size paper again. I still like this even though it's older so wanted to upload it!
I love the detail of the feathers and tree bark.
Very nice! I wouldn't mind heading over to Europe to see the land. Thankfully I have folks in Norway.
You are very talented!
Stunning picture! I love the pose and the colors! Amazing work!
Siis aivan jotakin täysin uskomatonta Ja vielä traditional art sä kyllä ansaitset olla tosi suosittu, mä just ihastuin tähän kuvaan
This looks so soft and beautiful! You should make more of these <3 it's fantastic!
Well would you look at that! A green woodpecker. Who would have thought hahaha Looks great!
that's really beautiful.
I like it с:
Woodpeckers are amazing, I remember seeing a red-spotted one at a friend's house and they're just beautiful, especially the males with the red spot on the back of their heads. Never seen a green one, though. lol
They're really cool yeah! And pretty markings I've seen a black woodpecker too in Finland (I don't think there's any in the UK, whereas I don't think there's any green ones in Finland XD). But the black woodpecker was really awesome, almost creepy in a way haha!
Haha, Black Woodpeckers do look badass. I like 'creepy'-looking birds like that, it's why I'm drawn to the Corvidae family out of all the bird families. I also love blackbirds as well, they have such a pretty song. c:
Great work! I also like birdwatching.
awww this is wonderful lhuin! <3
Just... beautiful! *0*
