This is my contribution to the Werewolf Calendar that I had the fantastic opportunity to take part in this year, sooo thrilled to have worked with such amazing people and be a part of this project.
My caption is as follows:
My image for the calendar presents a pair of Ethiopian wolves searching for prey in the Ethiopian Highlands! This was such a blast to work on, so happy to paint some Ethiopian wolves and I loved doing the strong light/shadow contrast on this. Got some really great and helpful feedback along the way as well to build the image up.

Ethiopian and Indian werewolves are dramatically different in appearance and build from their timber and gray wolf counterparts. Indian werewolves are often one-half the size of their North American cousins and feature much thinner coats and shorter bodies and legs. Ethiopian werewolves are even smaller, approaching the size of a coyote with similar ruddy coloration to their pelt. These werewolves have adapted themselves to their local environment through generations of breeding. Their lifestyles and cultures also reflect the local regions, often borrowing influences from native tribes and peoples.

Will be a really amazing calendar, really looking forward to seeing all the final images together!
