Yeey finally got my hands on some scratchboard! Super difficult to find and this one's not the best quality but will do for now, didn't want to spend tons of money on it yet without some experimenting. Hopefully will get to buy some even better ones later. The shipping prices seem to be pretty atrocious though x_x managed to get these ones because the size was smaller and the shipping prices went down a lot. But seems to be an ok size anyway.
Just wanted to try this technique after a long long time, last time I used scratchboard I was doing those ready-made pictures as a kid haha. But this was lots of fun! Lovely technique ^^ had to learn a lot again as I worked my way through the picture but was nice.
This portrait of a snow leopard is referenced from a photo I took myself. Hopefully not too wonky or uneven colours, tried to make it look a bit better in PS though.
Hope you like it anyway! I really liked working on it. Been doing it during this week every now and again while working on my final assignments.
Drawn on a ~8x10" scratchboard. Only used one size tool (from those ready made packs) that I had lying around somewhere, might need to get some different sizes later if I make more of these!
